Tongseng Cattle Without Coconut Milk - Orielntal Foods
Since in a parent's house is still quite a lot of qurban beef, it is cooked. Incidentally, the house likes tongseng but not too fond of coconut milk, so this time the dish will be made without coconut milk. Alhamdulillah, the house said that it was good ... hehe ...
Beef Tongseng without Santan
- 500gr of beef
- 2 red tomatoes
- 50gr cabbage
- 1 stick of leeks, roughly sliced
- enough to taste whole cayenne pepper
- enough sweet soy sauce
- moderately brown sugar
- Sufficient boiled water, salt & pepper powder
For stir fry:
- 2 lemongrass stems, geprek
- 3 cm galangal, geprek
- 4 orange leaves
- 3 bay leaves
Ground spices :
- 6 pieces of curly red chili
- 6 pieces of devil chili (if you like to chill down, please)
- 7 onion cloves
- 5 garlic cloves
- 1 segment of turmeric
- 1 segment of ginger
- 3/4 tsp coriander, roast
- 1/2 tsp cumin, roast
- 3 candlenut

Cooking steps for Tongseng Sapi without coconut milk
- Wash the beef, slice thinly, set aside.
- Heat the skillet, give enough oil and stir-fry the stir fry until fragrant.
- Add the beef, stir fry until it changes color, then add enough water.
- After boiling, season with brown sugar, salt, pepper powder, sweet soy sauce, then taste test.
- If it's just right, wait for it to boil & tender meat, then add the sliced tomatoes, cabbage, and whole cayenne pepper. Wait until the water has shrunk slightly.
