Recipe: Porcupine Pao Cake - Oriental Foods

Recipe from ci Amei. Make breakfast at home. Easy to ulen, the results are smooth & soft. I'm modif with the addition of egg yolks & flour minus a little. The results are softer, even though it's already cold. If you want without egg yolks it's okay too. Stay soft & stick to it ..

* Use warm milk & flour The key results are softer than those using warm water & Triangular flour yeah ..

Steps for Making Pao Cakes

Recipe: Porcupine Pao Cake - Oriental Foods
  • Activate yeast first. Mix it into one warm water / milk, sugar & yeast in a glass. Mix well, leave 5-10 minutes until foamy.
  • In a bowl / bowl, mix with one fine-salt sugar, mix well.
  • Pour a mixture of yeast, egg yolks, stir with a spatula / wooden suture to clot.
  • Knead for a while until it is half smooth.
  • Add the butter little by little while kneading until well blended.
  • Continue kneading until smooth. Light batter for baking. * I beat the batter for about 10 minutes, then kneaded for 5 minutes.
  • After the dough is smooth, round the mixture in the middle of the bowl, cover it with a damp napkin. Leave it for about 1 hour until it expands. * I dry the dough under the sun, 40 minutes already blooming well.
  • After the mixture has expanded, deflate the mixture, dividing it into 8 parts.
  • Squeeze the dough, shape & fill according to taste, close tightly. Leave it back for about 10-15 minutes. * I make a porcupine shape, fill in 1 teaspoon of chocolate meises.
  • While the mixture is allowed to stand, heat the steamer until boiling water.
  • Steam the pao over high heat for 10 minutes, lift it. * Give the distance when you are steaming, if not, you will stick to each other when it expands in steam.
  • Look at the palace ... ok & soft ... It's just that I did not really do it
  • Pao is simple and soft, ready for friends to eat accompanied by a cup of tea or coffee. more delicious if eaten warm.
