Recipe: Opor chicken & Tofu yellow spices - Oriental Foods
Usually if I cook opor I like to use white spices just by using a recipe from my father-in-law, but the special for this time I try the recipe for Cony tea which uses yellow spices, and after trying it it turns out delicious.

ingredients Chicken Opor & Tofu yellow spices
- 1/2 kg of chicken, wash clean & cut
- 5 yellow tofu, cut diagonally, fry half cooked
- 1 lemongrass, geprek
- 2 galangal finger segments, geprek
- 2 grams of bay leaves
- 2 grams of orange leaf
- to taste salt & sugar (may add powdered chicken stock if you like)
- enough water (sy 800 ml)
- 1 instant coconut milk sachet (sy kara 65 ml)
- to taste fried shallots for sprinkling
- Uskan puree 🍅
- 4 onion cloves
- 2 cloves of garlic
- 2 btr candlenut, roasted
- 1 ginger finger segment
- 1 segment of turmeric finger
- 1/2 tsp coriander, roast
- 1/2 tsp pepper

Step to cook the Chicken Opor & Tofu the yellow seasoning
- Bring to a boil, boil the chicken for a while (until it changes color), lift & drain.
- Heat the oil, saute the spices until cooked & fragrant, add lemongrass, bay leaves, lime leaves & galangal, mix well.
- Add chicken, stir. Give water, season salt & sugar, cook until boiling & soft chicken.
- Then enter the tofu & instant coconut milk, stir and cook again until boiling. Don't forget to check the taste.
- If it's all right, lift it & serve it with a sprinkling of fried shallots
