Recipe: Rica-Rica Chicken Typical Indonesian Basil - Oriental Foods
Rica-Rica Chicken Materials Typical Indonesian Basil- 1/2 chicken
- 1 lemon
- 1 pound of lemongrass
- 3 bay leaves
- to taste basil leaves
- 1/2 tsp salt
- Just enough pepper, sugar, powder stock
- Oil for frying & sautéing
- ground spices
- 7 onion cloves
- 4 cloves garlic
- 2 segments of turmeric
- 1 segment of ginger (this is my skip)
- 3 candlenut
- 1 tomato
- 5 pieces of red chili
- 10 pieces of cayenne pepper (if you like spicy, can be added)

Steps to make Rica-Rica Chicken Typical Indonesian Basil
- Wash the chicken, wash it with lime juice. Let stand for 10 minutes, rinse.
- Boil the chicken for a while, about 10-20 minutes, add the pepper and salt in the boiled water. Set aside. (This step can be skipped. The original recipe is chicken curry with pepper & slma salt 15 minutes)
- Fried chicken half cooked. Lift & set aside
- Saute the spices, add the bay leaves, lemongrass, sauté with fragrant
- Add the chicken, add water, salt, pepper, sugar, powder stock. Cook until cooked. Taste correction
- Shortly before being removed, give enough basil, stir. Lift & serve
